The Transportation Project

Synopsis:
It started as a challenge and quickly became a study of human emotion. During my daily commute on the BART, I challenged myself to create one drawing per day. On my way to work, I would quickly sketch a blind contour, focusing on the facial expressions of another rider. During my commute home, I would render and shade the drawing. There are forty drawings, and the twelve below are my favorites.

Synopsis:
I always start my projects by sketching and conceptualizing ideas. This process allows my creativity to flow freely and push the boundaries of the concept. I often present these sketches to the client for initial approval and then use the computer to bring them to life.
